ORESCO had an exclusive collaboration signing ceremony with triparty partners to intensify and enhance the plantations’ management system and to boost yield production. This strategic collaboration includes the world-renowned University of Malaya, IRadar Sdn Bhd and Koperasi Durian Malaysia Berhad (KDMB) in an eminent hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

University of Malaya is doing research on durian market and cultivation in Malaysia exclusively for ORESCO and is headed by Dr Purabi Mazumdar, at Centre of Research in Biotechnology for Agriculture (CEBAR). Their research on Black Thorn cultivation to analyse not only the benefits of Black Thorn durian, also the best method recommendations and formulations on geographic conditions, fertilizers and pesticides use to produce top quality and higher yield fruits.

ORESCO is also engaging IRADAR’s Smart Farming platform and IoT technology to monitor various activities such as soil and weather conditions and drone implementation activities such as spraying and plantation mapping. Also, through this platform, data collection and real-time progress visualization of the durian process can be followed and viewed by the participants anytime.

Also in collaboration with ORESCO is Koperasi Durian Malaysia Berhad (KDMB) to bring D’Harvest Growers JV project to interested individuals or corporations who want to be a part of this great experience, of being with like-minded community that enjoy durian, opportunity to build new network with high net-worth individuals as well as getting involve and participate in “a once in a lifetime” durian industry.
